A complete ESX fishing progression system built around fishing zones, rod progression, XP, levels, interactive NUI gameplay, legal and illegal catches, boat rentals, fish markets and a global leaderboard.
TAKE FISHING TO THE NEXT LEVEL
Rooney Fishing is designed as a progression-based fishing activity rather than a simple “cast and collect” script. Players start with a basic rod, earn Fishing XP, unlock stronger equipment, discover harder catches and compete for a place on the global fishing leaderboard.

Earn XP from successful catches and permanently progress through fishing levels with SQL persistence.
INTERACTIVE NUI MINIGAME
A dedicated fishing minigame challenges players to reel in the fish before the timer expires.

Use legal bait for standard species or risk illegal bait for premium catches and black-market payouts.
BOAT RENTAL SYSTEM
Rent multiple boat classes for offshore fishing and return your active rental for a configured refund.
GLOBAL LEADERBOARD
A searchable Top 50 leaderboard displays player rank, fishing level, XP and total fish caught.

SERVER-SIDE SECURITY
- Server validates the player's fishing state before processing catches.
- Rod and bait states are checked against the active fishing session.
- Fishing results are processed server-side.
- Persistent player progression is stored in SQL.

INSTALLATION
- Extract the resource into your FiveM resources directory.
- Import sql.sql into your database.
- Register the included fishing rods, bait and fish items in ox_inventory.
- Place the included item images into your ox_inventory image directory.
- Configure prices, XP, rods, fish, boats, locations and webhook settings in config.lua.
- Add ensure rooney_fishing to your server.cfg.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
